Arbitrum One overview and migration
In early 2022, Connect Financial migrated several core functionalities of the token platform to the Arbitrum One network.
Arbitrum is a Layer 2 network built on top of the Ethereum network. Arbitrum has a number of benefits. As well as near instant confirmations, the biggest way that users will benefit from this migration will be in the form of greatly reduced transaction (gas) fees.
In order to use Arbitrum network, you will need to complete a number of steps:
Add Arbitrum to Metamask
Bridge Ether (ETH) from Ethereum to Arbitrum
Switch to the Arbitrum network on https://token.connect.financial/
The following community video goes through these steps in more detail:

How do I add Arbitrum One to Metamask?
In order to use Arbitrum, add the network to Metamask. The following article lays out the steps:
How to add a custom network RPC (external link).
Network Name: Arb1
Chain ID: 42161
Currency Symbol: ETH
Block Explorer URL: https://arbiscan.io
How do I bridge ether (ETH) to Arbitrum One?
In order to make transactions on the L2 Arbitrum network, you will need to bridge ETH from the Ethereum mainnet over to Arbitrum .
Connect to https://bridge.arbitrum.io/ on the Ethereum network. Enter the amount of ETH to bridge, click ‘Deposit’ and confirm the transaction in Metamask.
Important notes on bridging:
Bridging tokens from L1 to L2 on https://bridge.arbitrum.io/ takes approximately 10 minutes, but can take up to 24 hours. Bridging from L2 to L1 is significantly slower and may take up to 7 days. A list of alternative bridges can be found here: https://portal.arbitrum.one/#bridgesandonramps.
Because bridging takes place on L1, normal Ethereum gas fees apply. Always review the gas cost before confirming the transfer in Metamask.
How do I use the Arbitrum network on the token portal?
Log into the Connect Financial token portal: https://token.connect.financial/
In Metamask, switch to the Arbitrum network.
How do I move unstaked CNFI tokens from Ethereum to Arbitrum?
If you have purchased CNFI tokens on the Ethereum network, you will need to bridge them to Arbitrum before interacting with the token portal.
Step One: Add CNFI tokens to the Arbitrum bridge.
Navigate to the Arbitrum bridge
Ensure that Metamask is on the Ethereum network.
Select 'Add token'.
Enter the CNFI token address:
Step Two: Bridge tokens to Arbitrum
Enter the amount of CNFI tokens to bridge.
Approve the transaction in Metamask.
How do I use the staking portal?
The following community video covers the main functions of staking tokens on the Connect Financial token portal. Please note, that this is a legacy UI - we're working on an updated version!
